Oral Health Victoria is the leading public oral health agency in Victoria. Our aim is to improve the oral health of all Victorians, particularly vulnerable groups and those most in need. We provide Victorians with quality oral health care through the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne and work collaboratively with our partners to deliver oral health programs to benefit all Victorians.

About the role:

As part of the ICT Services team, the Clinical Systems Analyst role is primarily responsible for the administration, monitoring and support of all clinical application platforms and hardware including implementation of new clinical technology as well as the development of future requirements. This role provides administrative support and problem resolution ensuring timely action of service requests and incidents within agreed service levels, operating under guidelines for predefined processes and maintaining documentation that supports patient care.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Act as the primary liaison between vendors and the organisation to resolve clinical systems and hardware issues, ensuring reliable system performance.
  • Provide functional support for clinical applications and hardware, ensuring issues are logged through the ICT Service Desk and managed through to resolution.
  • Coordinate and manage system maintenance, upgrades, and optimisation of clinical software and hardware in line with ICT processes.
  • Work with business stakeholders to configure and improve clinical systems to meet current and future operational needs.
  • Coordinate regression and acceptance testing for system updates and new builds, ensuring issues are documented and resolved prior to production release.
  • Monitor and manage outstanding system issues with vendors in line with agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Plan, test, and implement system upgrades and changes, reporting on system activity, performance, and outcomes.
  • Maintain system documentation, licensing, and maintenance agreements, while evaluating new software, hardware, and technology solutions.
  • Provide excellent stakeholder support, collaborate across teams, contribute to ICT projects, and participate in the on-call roster for after-hours support.

You will have:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology degree or in a relevant field.
  • Awareness of DHS clinical and reporting requirements
  • Exceptional customer relationships skills
  • Experience providing clinical application systems and hardware support and analysis
  • Experience conducting hardware and software testing\validation of clinical technology and solutions.
  • Able to translate technical requirements into common language
