The Opportunity:

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People & Culture Advisor to support the delivery of operational HR services across the business.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring a positive employee experience by coordinating HR administration, supporting employee lifecycle processes, maintaining compliance and contributing to engagement initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Coordinator or Advisor looking to broaden their exposure within a technical and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the HR inbox and provide timely, professional responses to employee queries, escalating matters where appropriate
  • Coordinate end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, including inductions, system access, and internal team coordination
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within HRIS and personnel files
  • Prepare routine HR documentation and support payroll with accurate employment changes and leave updates
  • Assist with performance review cycles, probation tracking, and employee lifecycle milestones
  • Support learning and development administration, including training coordination and record management
  • Assist with WHS and psychosocial safety administration, ensuring accurate record keeping and compliance support
  • Prepare HR reports, workforce metrics and documentation to support informed decision-making
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, templates and systems, and support broader HR projects as required

About You:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an HR Coordinator or Advisor role within a corporate environment
  • Tertiary qualification in HR, Business, Psychology or related discipline (or working towards)
  • Strong administrative capability with high attention to detail
  • Sound understanding of Australian employment legislation fundamentals
  • Experience using HRIS systems and maintaining confidential employee records
  • Confident in communicating with employees and leaders across all levels
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook and Excel)
  • A proactive mindset with a continuous improvement focus
  • Experience within Defence, engineering or technical environments is highly regarded but not essential.
