Maintenance Electrician – Manufacturing | Brompton, SA

Are you a skilled Maintenance Electrician with a passion for precision and problem-solving? Join our dynamic manufacturing team and play a key role in maintaining and improving high-speed production equipment in the packaging industry.

What You will Do:

  • Deliver daily preventative and breakdown maintenance across fixed plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimise production downtime
  • Conduct inspections and condition monitoring to identify potential equipment failures and initiate corrective actions
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimise machine performance, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Read, interpret, and produce electrical schematics to support fault diagnosis and system upgrades
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, pending tasks, and equipment status at the end of each shift
  • Assist in investigating equipment-related non-conformances and contribute to root cause analysis
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with WHS, HACCP, and quality standards
  • Return machines to production in a clean, safe, and operational condition, removing all tools and materials from the area
  • Support planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks, demonstrating an initiative-taking approach to asset care

What You will Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment
  • Current “A” Class Electrical Licence
  • Understanding of HACCP and WHS principles
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning techniques
  • Ability to read and produce electrical schematics
  • Instrumentation training and experience with automated packing systems (robotics, palletisers) highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Bonus Skills:

  • PLC programming and fault-finding
  • Trade certificate in Automation & Control or Instrumentation (desirable)
