About the Role

As a Maintenance Fitter, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our production equipment. Your focus will be on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and minimising downtime to keep operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on plant and equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults to minimise production disruptions
  • Prioritise and complete maintenance tasks in line with the work plan
  • Respond to breakdowns and emergency work orders promptly
  • Raise, update, and close work orders using the maintenance system (EAM)
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance procedures
  • Participate in toolbox meetings and safety activities
  • Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and operations teams
  • Provide guidance and supervision to apprentices when required

About You

You are a proactive and solutions-focused Maintenance Fitter who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You take pride in your work, value safety, and thrive in a team-oriented culture.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance (manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
  • A positive, team-oriented mindset
  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (essential)
  • Experience using lathes, milling machines and welding equipment (Tig, Mig, etc.) would be beneficial
