Maintenance Electrician - Detmold Medical

About our Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the team at Detmold Medical in a permanent full-time position, based at our Brompton manufacturing facility. 

About you

We are seeking a safety conscious team player with experience in Electrical Maintenance in a manufacturing environment to join our team. As the successful applicant you would support production efficiency & product quality, maintain, and improve plant & equipment and ensure machine safe operating conditions are maintained.

More specifically you will:

  • Provide a daily preventative and breakdown maintenance service to the factory using your excellent prioritization skills
  • Organise your own work within the requirements of the assigned work plan
  • Ensure assigned work is completed safely and in accordance with all statutory requirements
  • Provide trouble-shooting expertise and immediate response to emergency work orders
  • Perform any electrical maintenance asset care
  • Resolve operational or technical equipment problems to minimise manufacturing interruptions resulting from equipment breakdowns/failures
  • Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and assist in the development of job procedures
  • Identify through inspection and condition monitoring, potential equipment failure and initiate appropriate actions
  • Identify and resolve equipment reliability and improvement opportunities
  • Support production employees were requested to optimise machine outputs, working closely with them to ensure that the plant can be operated safely with minimal downtime and waste
  • Have a strong commitment to document handling procedures
  • When required support the investigation of manufacturing non-conformances
  • Ensure quality systems and procedures are adhered to
  • Ensure machines are returned to production in a clean and operational ready condition

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • A current “A” class electrical license
  • Previous experience with continuous high-speed processing and packaging equipment in an industrial manufacturing production environment
  • Computer skills, MFG PRO, MS Office Suite
  • PLC Knowledge with software skills
  • Proven PLC and electrical control circuit fault-finding skills
  • An ability to read and produce electrical schematics
  • Demonstrated planning, organization, and customer focus ability

Whilst not essential, electronic fault finding and repair skills, or a trade certificate in automation & control and / or instrumentation & control would be highly desirable.
