Demand Planning Leader

Detmold Group is a global leader in sustainable paper and board packaging. As part of our Group Supply Chain leadership team, we are seeking a Demand Planning Leader to elevate forecasting capability, lead a talented team, and drive collaboration across Sales, Operations and Customer Service.

This role is ideal for a strategic, analytical planning professional who enjoys building capability, improving processes and influencing commercial decisions.

The Opportunity

As the Demand Planning Leader, you will:

• Lead and maintain a best‑practice forecasting review process, combining system intelligence and sales input.
• Play a key role in our S&OP cycle, providing insights, reporting and multi‑level forecast reviews.
• Oversee and improve demand and inventory master data to ensure data accuracy and alignment with business needs.
• Coach, develop and support a high‑performing team of Demand Planners and Analysts.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand demand drivers, reconcile variances and support inventory and supply decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement, using metrics and analytics to enhance forecasting maturity.

About You

You will bring a blend of leadership capability, analytical strength and collaborative influence. Your background includes:

• 3–5+ years in Demand Planning, Forecasting or S&OP.
• Experience with predictive forecasting tools, models or algorithms.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
• Advanced MS Excel capability and exposure to supply chain systems.
• Proven success leading high‑performing analytical teams.
• A collaborative working style with the ability to engage and influence across the business.
• Interest or experience in AI‑enabled forecasting is highly regarded.

Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Business or related fields are advantageous.
