Commercial Analyst

Based in Ellerslie, Auckland, New Zealand.

As part of the ANZ Commercial & Finance Team, you will play a key role in delivering financial and operational analysis for the ANZ Sales entities. Through insightful reporting and strategic recommendations, you will help identify opportunities for business improvement and contribute to the Detmold Group’s long-term sales growth and profitability objectives.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with Sales to drive customer tender strategy, analysis, and delivery.
• Maintain compliance with all government and industry requirements.
• Highlight margin improvement opportunities using market intelligence.
• Oversee customer rebates and ensure mutually authorised agreements are in place.
• Report on customer profitability, highlighting performance against targets and cost-saving opportunities.
• Review and manage NZ entities’ cost-to-serve, highlighting budget variances and cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage monthly cash flow forecasting and ensure compliance with creditor and loan terms.
• Maintain compliance with all government and industry requirements.

What you’ll bring:

• Commercially astute with proven negotiation and stakeholder influencing skills.
• Degree Qualifications in Business/Finance/Accounting.
• Sound knowledge and experience using MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Problem-solving ability and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver outcomes within tight deadlines.
• Resilient with a willingness to take initiative and a continuous improvement mindset.

Desirable:

• Professional Qualification (CA/CPA).
• Previous experience working with Senior Management in a Business/Commercial role.
• Previous manufacturing experience.
