Lead with precision. Influence commercial outcomes. Thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

We’re seeking a commercially minded Estimating Manager to lead our estimating function and support the growth of our global packaging business. Based at our Adelaide HQ, this role is critical in ensuring our product cost estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with strategic business goals.

About the Role

This is not a long-term project-based role — it’s a fast-paced, high-volume estimating environment where agility, accuracy, and collaboration are key. You’ll lead a small team and work closely with stakeholders across Commercial, Sales, Procurement, and Manufacturing to deliver timely cost estimates that support business decisions and customer proposals.

If you enjoy working with data, improving systems, and making an impact in a dynamic manufacturing setting, this role offers a unique opportunity to lead and evolve a core business function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the Estimating Team, setting priorities and supporting performance.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate product cost estimates using internal systems and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify product requirements and ensure data quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement in estimating processes, systems integration, and service delivery.
  • Apply commercial insight and cost modelling expertise to support strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve data integrity within estimating systems.
  • Provide reporting and insights to support business decisions and service level monitoring.

What You’ll Bring

We’re open to candidates from manufacturing, packaging, or other fast-paced industries where cost estimation and commercial analysis are key. You may come from roles such as Cost Estimator, Cost Engineer, Pricing Analyst, or Commercial Analyst.

  • Experience in estimating, cost modelling, planning, or commercial operations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and validate complex data.
  • Commercial acumen and a strategic mindset.
  • Experience leading a team and managing workflow in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in quoting systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • A structured, solutions-focused approach to process improvement.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Desirable

  • Qualifications in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Accounting, or Industrial/Product Design.
  • Experience working with product costing in a manufacturing or production environment.
