About the Role

The Detmold Group is undertaking a project to Replace their Group Wide ERP System. This Project has a further 18 months before completion. This is a role to initially support the ERP Implementation project primarily around Data Migration & reconciliation, investigating and resolving issues and supporting business functions in other reconciliations, for example ensuring all deliveries are invoiced and accurate.

The role encompasses reconciliations from across the business, including Sales, Manufacturing & Finance.

At the conclusion of the Project, the role would transition into a similar Group Commercial role supporting the businesses with balance sheet reconciliations, supporting financial analysis and general trouble shooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading data migration of all open records (e.g. AP, AR, Inventory) – from preparation and cleanse, and resolution of any issues.
  • Working with the Commercial Leads to ensure the timely and accurate reconciliation of the new system to the legacy system. Including business splits for our internal reporting.
  • Support the Commercial Leads in remapping the chart of account, enabling the timely upload of the opening Trial balance. 
  • Lead the Process of transitioning the Existing Fixed Asset registers into the new Software, including ensuring appropriate data structures & reconciling with the Commercial Leads after migration.
  • Establish a standard process for the month end process, including what can be automated and/or centralized.  Train and support the Commercial Leads on the process. 
  • Following implementation, monitor transactions & balance sheets for issues – including interim or out of cycle balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support the business with any other reconciliations required to ensure successful implementation.
  • Support the business to check for data gaps and update as appropriate, focusing on areas of financial importance which drive the general ledger.
  • Support the business in other transactional areas as required.
  • Work with team members to manage identified Issues within the Finance stream through to resolution.

  • Degree or higher – or the equivalent, preferably in finance, accounting
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong analytical thinking
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and key internal and external stakeholders in the organization.
  • Strong English-language verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business worlds.
  • Experience in a role involving reconciliation and issues resolution.
  • Demonstration of outstanding communication skills internally and externally, across teams, functions and levels.
  • Demonstration of attention to detail, strong organization and planning skills.
  • Pro-active worker and able to manage own time.
  • Proactive communication to multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to learn new software and technology, getting up to speed quickly
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
