About our Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to be based at our site in Regency Park. Reporting to the Operations Manager - Australia, in this hands-on role you will determine and be responsible for the efficient management of all aspects of the site. You will develop production strategies and implement improvement plans to maintain a consistent rate of performance improvement, in accordance with corporate and WH&S standards, and the short- and long-term strategic objectives for the business.

About you

We are seeking a self-driven people leader with experience in manufacturing leadership to join our team. As the successful applicant you will:

  • Lead, manage and engage the team in support of Detmold’s vision and purpose, with the goal of 100% SAFE and WELL for our staff
  • Ensure Quality and Product Safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Provide your team with clear and concise communication to establish expectations and drive positive behaviours
  • Provide out of hours support to the 24-6 operation
  • Consistently monitor cost related metrics to enable a responsive and agile workforce that consistently meets budgeted targets
  • Drive a major focus on customer service, implementing strategies to ensure efficient and quality service to all customers
  • Identify, plan and implement improvements to processes, productivity, quality, cost control and customer service

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • Tertiary qualifications preferred or equivalent formal studies
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing management
  • Sound knowledge of WH&S systems and financial management

Whilst not essential, experience in the paper packaging industry would be highly desired.
