The Junior Application Engineer will provide ongoing support for our ERP and related applications and integrations. This dynamic and hands-on role includes user support, troubleshooting, documenting issues, raising vendor tickets, and data loading. You will also contribute to a range of project activities, including testing, data transformation, data migration, and hypercare support, as part of our ERP modernisation program. 

This is a true growth role, offering exposure to cross-functional project teams and opportunities to work on system enhancements. 

What You Will Do 

  • Provide a mix of business-as-usual support and contribute to cross-functional project teams. 
  • Develop a strong understanding of our technical solutions and business processes. 
  • Assist in evaluating business requirements and delivering working solutions through system design, analysis, testing, training, and documentation. 
  • Build strong relationships through proactive communication with business users and support teams. 
  • Identify, document, and resolve technical issues, escalating as required. 
  • Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and review processes. 

 

What You Will Bring 

  • Diploma or higher – or the equivalent, preferably in relevant technical fields such as Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Analytics, etc. 
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and key internal and external stakeholders in the organisation. 
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions, seeking clarification when necessary. 
  • A customer-centric approach with empathy for end users. 
  • Ability to quickly build deep product knowledge. 
  • Strong English-language verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Experience with some of the following: SQL, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, SSRS, REST APIs, JSON, XML. 
  • Sound experience with software development methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall. 
  • Strong results-orientation combined with excellent judgment and problem-solving skills. 
  • Outstanding communication skills internally and externally, across teams, functions and levels. 
  • Attention to detail, strong organization and planning skills. 
  • Open to travel overseas as required.
