About the opportunity

We continue to grow at Detmold Group, and we’re pleased to offer the newly created position of Senior Project Manager as part of an exciting ERP implementation project across multiple locations in Australia and Asia. This position is offered on a maximum term contract basis. 

Epicor has been selected as our vendor and implementation partner.

We’re halfway through the design phase and have completed project set up and governance; we’re well underway. 

Based in Adelaide, SA and reporting to the Group Manager, Commercial Excellence, we’re looking for you to take the reins and execute a complex ERP implementation project across the business. 

We’d prefer that you reside in Adelaide, but we’re open to considering Melbourne based candidates and exploring what a commuting arrangement would look like.

This is a critical leadership role with responsibility for both direct and indirect reports, locally and offshore.

Your proven track record in successfully managing and delivering complex ERP projects on time and within budget, combined with effective vendor management and reporting against earned value, will be key.

In terms of specific responsibilities, you will:

  • Manage the project team, project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Scope and coordinate the Project Workstreams.
  • Manage, track, and monitor budget, resources, and timeline ensuring adherence to project plan.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders and internal partners to manage shared resources, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. 

About you 

What you’ll need:

  • Extensive project management experience in complex ERP/technology environments.
  • The proven ability to drive, deliver and manage IT/technology change and business transformation projects across multiple locations.
  • A willingness to learn and understand our business, our strategy, and the project. 
  • A respectful and flexible approach to understanding the project status, the work completed to date and the stakeholders involved.
  • Proven success in providing strong and positive leadership to small teams.
  • Experience with a range of tools incl MS Project, SharePoint, MS Teams etc.
  • Experience delivering under Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid methodologies.
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • A qualification in project management
