What You'll Be Doing

As our Production Operator, you'll be at the heart of our manufacturing process, ensuring every product meets our exceptional standards while embodying SDI's core values of passion, accountability, respect, teamwork, and innovation.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing critical quality checks on capsules and powder bottling operations
  • Recording quality data according to production specifications
  • Maintaining optimal inventory levels of plastic parts for current and upcoming shifts
  • Ensuring all required materials are available for seamless shift transitions
  • Participating actively in toolbox meetings and daily safety-quality discussions
  • Completing comprehensive paperwork for quality checks and raw materials
  • Troubleshooting capsules that don't meet quality specifications
  • Maintaining department cleanliness according to GI Cleaning Checklist standards
  • Optimizing machine efficiency and maintaining daily production records
  • Reporting any deviations promptly to supervisors

Work Environment & Schedule

Based at our modern Bayswater facility, you'll work 76 hours over 10 days per fortnight. We have two exciting opportunities available:

  • Afternoon Shift: Full-time permanent position
  • Day Shift: 12-month maternity cover contract

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience:

  • Manufacturing environment experience (don't worry - we provide comprehensive on-the-job training!)
  • Vocational/TAFE education level preferred

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong English reading and writing abilities
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding teamwork, organizational, and time management capabilities
  • Understanding of company structure and familiarity with SDI policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations and terminology
