Outdoor Adventure Store Manager (North Sydney)

🔍 Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and energetic leader to manage our flagship Outdoor Adventure store in Sydney. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the outdoor lifestyle and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

As Store Manager, you'll be responsible for all aspects of store operations including driving sales, managing inventory, leading the team, visual merchandising, and community engagement. You’ll lead a diverse team, ensure high standards, and bring our adventure-focused brand to life in a busy and visible location.

💼 Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, inspire, and develop a team of 15+ members
• Foster a customer-first, performance-driven culture
• Conduct regular coaching, feedback, and reviews
• Ensure adequate staffing and effective rostering

Sales & Business Performance

• Drive and exceed sales targets and KPIs
• Analyse performance and implement improvement strategies
• Promote loyalty programs and community initiatives

Customer Experience

• Deliver exceptional service tailored to outdoor customers
• Handle escalated issues and lead by example on the floor
• Organise in-store events, demos, and product sessions

Operations & Compliance

• Oversee day-to-day operations including opening/closing
• Manage inventory, stocktakes, and ordering
• Maintain visual merchandising standards
• Ensure WHS and compliance policies are followed

🧭 Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years retail leadership experience (outdoor/lifestyle preferred)
• Knowledge of outdoor adventure products
• Proven team leadership in high-volume retail
• Confident with POS, inventory, and reporting systems
• Exceptional communication and service skills
• First Aid, Manual Handling, Working at Heights (preferred)
