About the Role
As a Senior Consultant you will work with clients to achieve their business and technical vision as the lead on GeoSpatial Advisory engagements.
The Senior Consultant, Advisory Services will be part of a collaborative team analysing customer objectives and designing solutions with a focus on GIS strategic planning (including Technical Road Maps), Information Management and Governance, Organisational Design and GIS Business Process Optimisation. This role is specifically aimed to bridge the gap between business and technical needs in an ongoing trusted partnership.
Your day to day will consist of advising clients on relevant GIS strategies, architectures, product selection and release planning - becoming a trusted partner to assigned customers. The Senior Consultant, Advisory Services will develop an understanding of the corporate business challenges and work in synergy with customer stakeholders to enhance utilisation of Esri’s GIS technology in all aspects of their business. You will utilise your expert-level knowledge of Esri technology, coupled with proven strengths in consulting, to build exceptional business relationships with our customer base.
About You
You are a GIS client centric professional with a desire to make a difference. You will need to use consultative skills and knowledge of Esri software to partner with customer stakeholders to achieve Program outcomes.
- A bachelor’s degree in an associated business discipline (Geography, Geology, GIS, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines). MBA or post graduate certificate in GIS or related discipline will be an asset.
- 3+ years of consultative engagement experience.
- 5+ years’ experience implementing or applying GIS concepts using Esri technology in various client environments.
- Experience in a senior managerial/leadership role.
- 3+ years of imagery management and exploitation is highly regarded.
- Business analysis experience – skilled in requirements elicitation, process modelling, business process improvement, knowledge transfer, meeting facilitation and support.
- Change management experience – ability to plan, minimise disruption, and improve likeliness of client success.
- Demonstrated awareness of emerging IT trends and direction.
- Proven ability managing internal and external resources for small to medium sized projects.
- Proven ability to develop synergistic relationship with key client stakeholders.
- Proactive, creative and team oriented.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with the ability to develop new ideas and conceptualise new approaches and solutions.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – you can communicate and engage with clients at all levels.
- Ability to motivate, coordinate and lead a group of multi-disciplinary team members.
- Ability to work on multiple activities/projects simultaneously and the ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks.
- Working rights - You must hold current permanent and full-time working rights in Australia.
