In this role you will be planning and scheduling maintenance activities at the Pokeno site utilising the MainPac maintenance system. You will develop and apply safe systems of work for maintenance work. Track completion of maintenance work and report on key data and performance indicators. Apply professional mechanical engineering work methods and standards in the workplace and supervise maintenance activities and team members.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Effective day-to-day supervision of the area of responsibility with a strong focus on safety, quality and operational performance
- To manage resource levels and hours and align them in coordination with the maintenance and production plans
- Planning specific resource requirements and resource replacement needs
- You will explore ways within the team environment to improve current systems and processes
- Apply the MainPac maintenance work management system to plan, schedule and control maintenance work
What you will bring:
- Mechanical technician qualifications - Mechanical Trade Certificate and NZCE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
- Proficient with developing and using CMMS Software ideally MainPac or else MEX, SAP, Maximo
- Ability to effectively lead and safely supervise team members and contractors on site
- Specialised maintenance planning and scheduling training with relevant experience would be preferential
- Excellent communication skills and temperament to engage stakeholders
- Flexibility to assist with breakdowns/callouts etc. outside of normal rostered hours
