Business Development Manager

Redcliffe, WA | Full-time | Perth-based with site/client travel

Daltech is entering its next phase of growth, and we’re looking for a commercially astute Business Development Manager to help shape that trajectory.

This is not a traditional sales role. We’re not looking for someone to “manage accounts” or chase short-term wins. We’re looking for someone who understands how markets move, builds meaningful long-term relationships, and converts opportunity into real, contracted work.

You’ll play a key role in driving revenue growth, diversifying our client base, and strengthening Daltech’s position across the mining, civil, and industrial sectors particularly as client demand evolves around energy efficiency, procurement models, and emerging technologies.

The Opportunity

As our Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across target sectors
  • Build and manage a structured, high-quality sales pipeline aligned to revenue targets
  • Lead tenders, proposals, and commercial negotiations in collaboration with operations and estimating teams
  • Develop long-term client relationships at operational and executive levels
  • Drive portfolio diversification and reduce client concentration risk
  • Provide market intelligence on emerging opportunities, competitor activity, and client trends
  • Represent Daltech in the market and strengthen our commercial reputation

You’ll work closely with leadership and operational teams as this role is highly integrated into the business, not a standalone sales function.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven track record in business development or senior commercial roles, with demonstrated success in winning new work
  • Experience within mining services, heavy equipment, civil contracting, or technical services
  • Strong commercial acumen, comfortable with pricing, margins, and contract negotiation
  • Ability to build credibility and relationships across all levels of client organisations
  • High level of personal accountability and professionalism

Preferred:

  • Exposure to maintenance, scheduling, or asset management environments
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing structured pipelines

Requirements:

  • Current C-Class Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to access mine sites (including medicals and inductions as required)

  • Strong pipeline coverage aligned to growth plans
  • Accurate forecasting (within ±10%)
  • Growth in new clients and diversified revenue streams
  • High client retention (target 90%) and strong engagement
