People & Culture Manager

Redcliffe | Full-time | Monday–Friday

The Opportunity

Daltech is strengthening its organisational capability and enhancing the maturity of its people and safety functions. As the People & Culture Manager, you will lead the strategic and operational direction of our people portfolio while overseeing the Safety function to ensure alignment, visibility and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Based at our Redcliffe office, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping culture, building leader capability, improving employee experience, and supporting sustainable workforce growth.


Strategic People Leadership

  • Lead the People & Culture function with a focus on cultural integrity, stakeholder value and fostering longevity across employee life cycles.
  • Partner with leadership teams to execute strategic people objectives and company targets and outcomes.
  • Build leadership capability across the business through coaching, frameworks and consistent development practices.

Employee Experience, Engagement & Culture

  • Champion initiatives that promote engagement, satisfaction, wellbeing and retention.
  • Guide performance and development processes fostering meaningful interactions supporting team member growth.
  • Lead succession planning, talent identification and career development visibility.
  • Oversee attraction, recruitment, onboarding process securing industry leading talent.
  • Maintain best‑practice HR policies, procedure, systems and documentation.

 Finance, Reporting & Governance

  • Manage the People & Culture budget and resource requirements.
  • Deliver workforce analytics, insights and executive‑level reporting on people and safety outcomes and actions to deliver performance.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law, WHS legislation and organisational

 Safety Function Oversight

  • Oversee the effectiveness, compliance and alignment of safety systems, processes and practices.
  • Partner with operational leaders to reinforce safe behaviours and strengthen safety communication.
  • Ensure safety policies, procedures and corrective actions remain current and integrated with People, Culture & Wellbeing initiatives.

 

About You — Requirements & Experience

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, Leadership or related discipline (minimum Cert IV).
  • WHS qualifications desirable.

 Experience

  • 5+ years in a HR management role within an SME (50+ employees).
  • Demonstrated success managing a team of 3–10 direct reports.
  • Proven experience in mining, heavy industry or heavy earthmoving equipment sectors.
  • Clear demonstration of delivering HR or People & Culture projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Strong experience managing recruitment functions with successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrated capability in Employee Value Proposition (EVP) development initiatives and delivery of attrition performance.  
  • Experience building valuable, collaborative professional relationships across teams and departments.
  • Evidence of providing oversight or support for safety management functions.
  • Clear demonstration of performance management, including improvement plans, non‑conformance processes and terminations.
  • Proven experience managing conflict resolution matters and complex ER/IR issues.

Technical Skills & Capabilities

  • Ability to build high‑quality reports, analyse workforce and safety data, and provide actionable commentary.
  • Strong knowledge of HR and WHS legislation, compliance requirements and reporting standards.
  • Excellent communication skills across verbal, written and visual presentation mediums.
  • Strong organisational skills, time management and prioritisation.
