At Homewell, kindness is more than a value. It’s how we recognise, respect and appreciate every person for who they are.

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Workforce Coordinator who genuinely enjoys supporting people and celebrating what makes each person different. You’ll be a trusted point of contact for our support workers, helping them feel connected, valued, informed and equipped to deliver excellent care.

This role would be particularly well suited to someone with a rostering, scheduling or workforce coordination background who understands the pace and complexity of supporting a dispersed care workforce and is ready to broaden their impact beyond filling shifts.

About Homewell

Homewell supports older Australians and people living with disability to maintain their independence, dignity and control. As part of Kinyara Health, we are committed to delivering personalised care while respecting and valuing every person for who they are.

Our values shape how we work:

  • Kindness
  • Curiosity
  • Ownership

The opportunity

As our Workforce Coordinator, you’ll help create a positive, consistent experience for our support workers throughout their employment journey.

You’ll build genuine relationships through regular check-ins, clear communication and practical support. You’ll keep training, compliance and documentation moving, help new employees settle into the team, and make sure workforce matters are acknowledged and followed through.

While this isn’t a traditional rostering position, your experience coordinating people, schedules, competing priorities and last-minute changes will be highly valuable. You’ll understand that behind every shift, training requirement and compliance record is a person who deserves to feel known, appreciated and supported.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building trusting relationships with a diverse and dispersed support workforce
  • Proactively checking in with support workers and providing a reliable first point of contact
  • Coordinating training and tracking mandatory and role-specific completion
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding so new team members have a welcoming and organised start
  • Maintaining accurate workforce, training and compliance records
  • Keeping communication clear, timely and consistent across the workforce
  • Listening to feedback and helping resolve or escalate workforce matters appropriately
  • Supporting employee recognition, engagement and reward initiatives
  • Working collaboratively with Workforce Leaders, Operations Managers and other teams
  • Providing field-based service delivery support or oversight when required

About you

You are someone who notices what needs to be done and takes action. You can manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the details or the people involved.

Most importantly, you genuinely like people. You appreciate that everyone communicates, works and responds differently, and you approach those differences with kindness, curiosity and respect.

You’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in rostering, scheduling, workforce coordination or a similar fast-paced operational role
  • A high level of organisation, initiative and follow-through
  • Strong administrative skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • The ability to build rapport with a remote, diverse or casual workforce
  • Clear, warm and confident communication skills
  • The ability to remain calm and solution-focused when priorities change
  • Experience maintaining records, training information or compliance documentation
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to support others
  • Experience in aged care, disability, community services or another regulated environment would be advantageous

Why join Homewell?

This is an opportunity to use your coordination skills in a role where the quality of your work has a genuine human impact. You’ll help support the people who provide care in our community, making sure they feel connected, prepared and appreciated.

You’ll join a values-led organisation that expects its people to treat clients, colleagues and stakeholders with respect, while remaining flexible, enthusiastic and committed to quality care and support.

Ready to apply?

If you’re an organised and proactive coordinator who leads with kindness, values people’s differences and believes that great workforce experiences create great client experiences, we’d love to hear from you.

Please submit your resume and a short cover letter telling us what great workforce support looks like to you.
