About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced, licenced security professional to manage the day-to-day security operation of a school site, combining security management, compliance, training and administration with frontline guarding duties.

You’ll oversee SOPs, rostering, training, incident management, compliance and reporting, while personally managing the main access point during morning arrival and afternoon departure periods.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can confidently move between security management and frontline operations, with a strong focus on the safety of students, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Management & Administration

  • Manage the day-to-day security operation and act as the key security contact for the client.
  • Lead rostering, training, compliance and performance of the site security team.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, post orders and emergency response procedures.
  • Manage incident reporting, investigations, compliance checks and operational reporting.
  • Monitor licencing, WWCC and WHS requirements and support audits.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements to site security.

Frontline Guarding

  • Personally staff the main access point during morning arrival and afternoon departure periods.
  • Manage pedestrian and vehicle access, visitor sign-in/out and identification checks.
  • Conduct access, bag and vehicle checks in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor CCTV and respond to access-control incidents and security breaches.
  • Manage pick-up/drop-off traffic flow and maintain a visible, professional presence.
  • Complete site lock-up and end-of-day security checks.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Current NSW Security Licence (Class 1A minimum)
  • Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC), or eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
  • Demonstrated experience in security supervision or management.
  • Experience developing and maintaining SOPs, post orders and operational documentation.
  • Sound knowledge of WHS and NSW security licencing requirements.
  • Class 1F licence and CAT H firearms licence desirable.

Other Role Requirements

  • Ability to perform the inherent requirements of the role, including standing, walking and maintaining situational awareness for extended periods during frontline guarding periods and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Professional presentation and conduct consistent with CSG uniform, grooming and workplace standards.
  • Flexibility to work guarding periods aligned with school term dates, events and operational requirements.
  • Reasonable workplace adjustments will be considered to enable candidates to perform the inherent requirements of the role.
