About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Security Operations Manager to support the day-to-day operational management of our security portfolio. This role is ideal for an experienced security professional looking to take the next step into leadership and operational coordination.

 You will work closely with the National Operations Manager | High end retail to ensure smooth service delivery, maintain compliance standards, and uphold strong relationships with clients, staff, and stakeholders. This position also includes hands‑on operational duties when required, including acting as a relief officer, supporting event security operations and regular travel between sites/clients/locations with occasional interstate travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily operational activities across the security portfolio
• Assist and report directly to the National Operations Manager
• Coordinate and assist all security events
• Ensure all security protocols, procedures, and compliance requirements are consistently met
• Provide relief security officer coverage when required
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, management, and stakeholders
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and escalations in a timely and professional manner
• Develop and implement security strategies to mitigate risks and improve service delivery
• Prepare reports on incidents, operations, and performance metrics
• Coordinate training and development programs for security personnel
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, licensing, and workplace health & safety standards

Skills, Experience, and Attributes

• At least two years' proven experience working in Security Operations in a supervisory/management role
• Proven experience managing security teams within commercial or corporate environments
• Strong knowledge of security procedures, risk management, and incident response
• Current Security (with Crowd Control, Unarmed, Monitoring), First Aid Certificate, and Open Drivers Licence (relevant state equivalent).
• Computer literate in Word/Excel and PowerPoint programs.
• Proven experience developing Operational Plans and other operational documentation.
• Highly organised and efficient.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of Security Officers to achieve specific objectives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Desirable: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• Desirable: Certificate IV in Security Risk Management.
