 Job Summary: You ideally have some management accounting experience. You are passionate about management accounting and analysing data. You are highly analytical, have a commercial acumen, high career ambitions, eagerness to learn and progress your career further. You want to join a finance team in a well-established national Australian business. You will be involved in analysing the P&L and producing financial results and commentary for the management. This role provides a perfect opportunity for a candidate who wants to take the next step in their career in management accounting and expand their experience. You preferably have experience in a service industry where customers are billed based on timesheets.  Key Responsibilities: 

  • Analysing revenue, costs, gross margin reporting and customer contract performance reporting.
  • Posting standard monthly journal entries and accruals etc.
  • Preparing monthly management reporting pack for the senior leadership team.
  • Analysing customer contracts, trends, variances and formulating commercial plans to improve gross margins.
  • Annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, maintaining and updating customer contract dataset.
  • Daily, weekly, monthly Cash inflow and outflow forecasting.
  • Assist CFO with the annual company Audit and preparation of financial statements

Skills & Experiences:

  •   At least 2-3 years’ experience in management accounting and reporting.
  •   Enrolled in CPA or CA program.
  •   Must have very strong MS Excel skills and highly analytical.
  •   Experience with an ERP system Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
  •   Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  •   Self-motivated, results driven and likes solving problems.
  •   Eager to improve and learn new finance and accounting tasks.
  •   Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
