About the role:
Challenger is seeking a number of full time cleaning team leader, to undertake cleaning and supervisory responsibilities as part of our energetic cleaning team working in a premier Aged Care or Independent Living Facility located in The Hills, West, Shire South, East and West region.
Previous experience working in an Aged Care environment is an advantage for this position, but not a requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assist the Team with their day to day cleaning operational requirements
- Help support the quality of life of elderly residents and make a positive impact to their wellbeing
- Complete tasks associated with maintaining the cleanliness of the facility
- Cleaning both front of house and back of house areas
- Follow schedules and SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Other duties associated with cleaning requirements
About you:
You are a reliable and experienced cleaning professional who leads by example and ensures high standards are consistently met during shifts. With strong communication and problem-solving skills, you motivate your team and keep operations running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
Ideally, you bring with you:
- Availability to work 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday shifts commencing at 7am
- Previous experience working as a Leading Hand or Supervisor in a commercial and/or housekeeping environment is desirable
- Have a good understanding of the safety elements associated with the job
- Have a good understanding of cleaning chemicals and their correct and safe handling
- Have 2 vaccinations for Covid-19 and a current Influenza vaccination
- Have a valid police check
- Have a valid NDIS Workers Check or willing to obtain one
- Good presentation and grooming
- Sound communication skills
