WHO WE NEED

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Packing Operator to join our production team in Camellia. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with production or packaging experience who enjoys taking ownership, leading a small team, and delivering results in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

You will be responsible for operating thermoformer packaging machinery, coordinating daily packing activities, and ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.

Location: Camellia, NSW

Hours: Monday to Friday | 6:30am to 5:00pm

Important: This role is based in a food production facility and involves:

  • Working in cold environment conditions
  • Regular handling of pork products
  • Manual handling tasks, including lifting up to 25kg


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Set up and operate thermoformer packaging machines at the start of each shift
  • Monitor and adjust machine settings including speed, temperature, vacuum and cycle times
  • Coordinate workflow across the packing line to ensure efficient production
  • Lead, support and motivate a small team of packing staff
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and minimise downtime
  • Handle and replace film rolls (20-25kg) safely
  • Carry out packing duties and operate additional line equipment as required
  • Complete end-of-shift shutdown procedures, reporting and cleaning preparation
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and quality assurance


WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Experience operating production or packaging machinery (thermoformer experience highly regarded)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and adjust machinery in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership or leading-hand experience on a production line
  • Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks (lifting up to 25kg)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Clear communication and ability to motivate a team
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic
  • Comfortable working in a cold food production environment
  • Comfortable handling pork products in accordance with food safety requirements
