Food Production Supervisor

About the role
As a full-time Food Production Supervisor, your role will be split between 50% cleaning and 50% labouring. You will lead a cleaning team of up to five people while also performing hands-on duties. You will be the first point of contact with on-site management and ensure the team maintains the highest level of quality and hygiene standards.
Location: Allied Pinnacle in Brisbane (Tennyson)
Shift times: 6am - 2pm, Monday to Friday
Are you the right fit?
You are a committed supervisor with a proven background in food production cleaning, especially in high-risk environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable with a 50/50 split between hands-on cleaning and labouring duties. You have a solid understanding of HACCP and GMP and are experienced in rostering and managing timesheets. With your strong knowledge of WH&S processes and cleaning chemicals, you are ready to lead a team to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and safety. You must have your own reliable transport as public transport options are limited in the area.
Key responsibilities
- Team leadership: Lead and manage a food production cleaning team of up to five cleaners.
- Labouring duties: Perform a variety of labouring tasks as required, making up 50% of the role.
- Client liaison: Act as the first point of contact with on-site management.
- Procedural compliance: Follow schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Quality assurance: Ensure the highest level of quality standards are maintained.
- Cleaning duties: Perform hands-on cleaning and sanitation as required, making up 50% of the role.
What we are looking for
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Supervisor in a food production environment.
- Specialised knowledge: Experience in food processing cleaning, including high-risk and high-care environments.
- Administrative skills: Experience in rostering and timesheet approval.
- Forklift operation: Comfortable with the idea of driving a forklift; we will put you through the license course if you don't already have one.
- Mandatory check: A Current Police Check is required.
- Transport: Own reliable transport is essential (Public transport is not a viable option unless you live in the immediate vicinity or on the south side)
- Certifications: Knowledge of HACCP and GMP.
- Safety understanding: A good understanding of WH&S processes.
- Chemical knowledge: A good understanding of cleaning chemicals and their correct and safe handling.
- Professionalism: Good presentation and grooming, and sound communication skills.
