ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly organised and hands‑on Food Production & Sanitation Supervisor to lead our cleaning and hygiene operations within a large‑scale food production facility.

This role is responsible for ensuring all production areas, machinery, and surrounding environments meet strict food safety and hygiene standards. You will supervise a dedicated sanitation team during production downtime and play a key role in maintaining compliance and food safety excellence.

This is a permanent part‑time role working:

  • Friday: 10:00am – 6:00pm
  • Saturday: 12:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Additional shifts may be available at another site for the right candidate.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead and coordinate daily sanitation and cleaning activities
  • Ensure all cleaning schedules are completed to a high standard
  • Maintain 100% compliance with food safety, HACCP, GMP, and WHS requirements
  • Manage the safe handling, titration, and storage of industrial cleaning chemicals
  • Act as the liaison between Quality Assurance (QA) and the production floor to resolve hygiene issues promptly
  • Complete electronic QA and compliance reporting
  • Train and mentor team members on SOPs, hygiene standards, chemical safety, and toolbox talks

WHAT WE NEED:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising cleaning or sanitation teams (food production or high‑hygiene environments preferred)
  • An uncompromising approach to cleanliness – Nothing is overlooked to prevent cross contamination
  • Must have strong knowledge of sanitation standards, food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP), and health and safety practices preferred.
  • Sound communication skills (Both written and verbal)
