The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated Demi Chef to join our culinary team at Crystalbrook Riley.
Working as part of a collaborative kitchen brigade, you will support the delivery of high-quality dishes across service, ensuring consistency, presentation and flavour are maintained to a high standard. You will work closely with Chef De Partie and wider team, assisting with preparation, cooking and plating while contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
You will play an important role in maintaining food quality, supporting junior team members and ensuring kitchen standards are upheld across hygiene, safety and food handling practices.
This is a full-time role (38 hours per week) suited to someone who is passionate about food, enjoys working in a busy service environment and is looking to continue developing their culinary skills within a premium hospitality setting.
The Talent
You are a passionate and reliable culinary professional who takes pride in your craft and enjoys working as part of a team. You are eager to learn, open to feedback and motivated to continue developing your skills in a professional kitchen.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a similar Demi Chef or Commis Chef role
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and WHS practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail, presentation and consistency
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Availability to work across a rotating 7-day roster including weekends and public holidays
- A positive attitude and genuine passion for food and hospitality
