The Opportunity:
We are looking for a skilled Chef de Partie to join our kitchen brigade in a full-time, permanent capacity, with a key focus on breakfast service.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, enjoys leading a section, and takes pride in delivering consistently high-quality food with strong attention to detail.
Working closely with the Executive Chef and wider culinary leadership team, you will be responsible for leading your section, supporting junior team members, maintaining exceptional food safety standards, and contributing to a polished and efficient breakfast service each day.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading your section through breakfast preparation and service, ensuring consistency in quality, timing and presentation
- Supervising and supporting junior kitchen talent, delegating daily preparation and service tasks
- Maintaining the highest hygiene and food safety standards in line with legislative requirements
- Working closely with culinary leadership to manage stock levels, ordering requirements and daily mise en place
- Monitoring product usage and minimising wastage through thoughtful preparation and stock control
- Ensuring all food prepared under your supervision meets exceptional standards for taste, temperature and presentation
- Monitoring kitchen equipment and escalating maintenance concerns where required
- Supporting a collaborative and high-performing kitchen culture through strong leadership and example
- Assisting across wider kitchen operations as required to support service delivery
The Talent:
We are seeking a passionate and capable chef who brings:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience operating a section in a similar hotel, restaurant or high-volume kitchen environment
- Confidence leading a fast-paced breakfast service
- A readiness to thrive in early morning starts and the energy that comes with breakfast service
- Strong food safety, hygiene and workplace health & safety knowledge
- A collaborative leadership style, with confidence coaching and supporting junior team members
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to perform well under pressure
- Sound stock awareness and an understanding of efficient kitchen operations
- A genuine passion for quality produce and memorable guest experiences
- Flexibility to work across a seven-day roster
