We are now seeking a People and Culture Coordinator/Officer to join our Cairns team. This opportunity would suit either a career starter ready to build a future in People and Culture, or someone with existing experience in a people function who is keen to further develop their career within a luxury hotel environment.
You will be someone who is naturally people centric, highly organised and accountable, with a genuine interest in supporting both collaborators and leaders across a fast-moving hotel environment.
Role Purpose:
Our People and Culture Team play an important role in supporting the delivery of a positive and engaging collaborator experience across our three Crystalbrook Collection Hotels in Cairns. This position helps drive culture by providing coordinated support across key workforce functions including onboarding, rewards and recognition, recruitment and health and wellbeing.
With a strong focus on people, culture and accountability, the role contributes to the smooth and effective delivery of People and Culture activity while supporting leaders and collaborators in a fast moving luxury hotel environment. Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting day-to-day People and Culture activity across our three Cairns properties
- Assisting with onboarding, compliance, employment contracts and general administration
- Coordinating documentation and maintaining accurate employee records
- Providing timely support to leaders and collaborators with general People and Culture queries
- Assisting with engagement activities and wider people initiatives as required
- Helping create a consistent, engaging and values-led collaborator experience
About you:
You could be exactly who we are looking for if you bring most, or all, of the following:
- A genuine passion for building your career in People and Culture and contributing to an exceptional collaborator experience
- Current enrolment in, or previous study related to, Human Resources, People and Culture or a similar discipline
- Exceptional communication skills, with a warm, engaging and professional approach
- Empathy and emotional intelligence, with the ability to connect with people from all backgrounds
- Strong administrative capability, attention to detail and confidence using workplace systems
- Integrity, sound judgement and the maturity to handle sensitive matters with care and discretion
- A proactive, adaptable and solutions focused approach within a dynamic luxury hotel environment
Important Note:
Please note, we are only able to consider applications from those with current Australian work rights, as sponsorship is not available for this opportunity. If you hold a short-term visa, you must be able to commit to a minimum of 12 months in the role.
