The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team in Cairns. This is an area-level role supporting HVAC systems across all three of Crystalbrook Collection’s Cairns properties - Crystalbrook Riley, Crystalbrook Bailey and Crystalbrook Flynn.
As part of our Technical Services team, you will support preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs across heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems throughout the hotels. This includes systems located across guest rooms, public areas, plant rooms and back-of-house spaces.
Working closely with the Technical Services Manager and Maintenance team, you will help ensure HVAC systems operate safely, efficiently and reliably, supporting guest comfort, building performance and operational continuity.
This is a full-time role suited to someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, fault finding and working across a dynamic multi-site hospitality environment.
The Talent:
You are a reliable and technically capable HVAC professional who takes pride in maintaining building systems that support guest comfort and hotel operations. You enjoy hands-on technical work and work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Restricted Electrical Licence (or equivalent as required by legislation)
- Relevant trade qualification in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration or HVAC
- Previous experience maintaining HVAC systems within commercial or hospitality environments
- Strong knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety requirements and safe work practices
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with operational teams across departments
- Availability to work across a rotating 7-day roster including weekends, public holidays and call-outs if required
