The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team in Cairns. This is an area-level role supporting refrigeration systems across all three of Crystalbrook Collection’s Cairns properties - Crystalbrook Riley, Crystalbrook Bailey and Crystalbrook Flynn.
As part of our Technical Services team, you will support preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs across refrigeration equipment in our kitchens, bars, cool rooms and food service areas. The role supports structured preventative maintenance programs while responding to faults and repairs across refrigeration equipment throughout the hotels.
Your work will directly support food safety compliance, operational continuity and the protection of temperature-controlled assets critical to hotel operations.
This is a full-time role suited to someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, fault finding and working across a dynamic multi-site hospitality environment.
The Talent:
You are a reliable and technically capable refrigeration professional who understands the importance of maintaining systems that support food safety and kitchen operations. You take pride in delivering high-quality maintenance work and enjoy contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Relevant trade qualification in Refrigeration or Air Conditioning
- Current Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick)
- Restricted Electrical Licence (or equivalent as required by legislation)
- Previous experience maintaining commercial or industrial refrigeration systems
- Strong knowledge of food safety requirements and refrigeration compliance standards
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with operational teams across departments
- Availability to work across a rotating 7-day roster including weekends, public holidays and call-outs if required
