The Opportunity:
As Assistant Venue Manager, you will lead the rhythm of the venue across its most dynamic service periods, from the energy of morning breakfast through to relaxed, sun-filled poolside service.
Working closely with the Venue Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day operations, ensuring service flows seamlessly, the team is supported and every guest interaction feels considered and consistent. You will be a visible, hands-on leader, setting the tone on shift, building momentum across the team and stepping in wherever needed to keep service running smoothly.
You will play a key role in balancing experience with performance, supporting labour planning and contributing to revenue targets. From leading pre-service briefings to managing guest feedback and overseeing reservations and service systems, you will ensure both the detail and the bigger picture are always working together.
Equally, you will be focused on your team, coaching Supervisors and Guides, building capability and creating an environment where people feel supported, confident and motivated to deliver at their best.
This is a role suited to someone who enjoys being on the floor, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering a well-run, high-energy service.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity.
The Talent:
You are a confident and commercially minded hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. With a strong presence on the floor and a collaborative leadership style, you bring both operational capability and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within Food & Beverage
- Strong leadership capability, with experience coaching and developing teams
- A solid understanding of venue operations, service flow and guest experience delivery
- Confidence managing rosters, labour and operational performance
- Exposure to cost control, revenue targets and basic P&L principles
- Experience with POS systems and reservations platforms
- Ability to manage guest feedback and resolve issues confidently
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Availability to work across a 7-day roster, including early mornings and weekends
- A current QLD RSA
