Crystalbrook Kingsley has transformed Newcastle’s former Council Administration Centre into an elegant and sophisticated 130-room five-star hotel with a signature rooftop bar and restaurant, lobby bar and café along with two private meeting venues. With the City Hall Civic Theatre, Newcastle Art Gallery and War Memorial moments away, Kingsley is culturally connected, celebrating what has been and what is to come.

Rombergs Bar and Roundhouse Restaurant sit atop Crystalbrook Kingsley, offering one of Newcastle's most impressive vantage points across the harbour, coastline and through to the Hunter Valley.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join Crystalbrook Kingsley, supporting the delivery of high‑quality food and beverage experiences across the hotel’s restaurants, bars and function spaces. You can expect this role to be a hands on operational position supporting the smooth day to day operation of our food and beverage venues and guest experiences across the hotel.

You will bring a passion for hospitality, strong operational awareness and the ability to create a positive team environment while keeping service standards high. From leading shifts and supporting other collaborators, to responding to guest needs and driving a seamless experience, this role is ideal for someone ready to take the next step in their hospitality career.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Manager in the day to day supervision of food and beverage operations across events, restaurant and bar service
  • Support the delivery of events and functions, including service flow, timing and room set ups to ensure seamless execution
  • Assisting with rostering and team resourcing to meet operational needs and uphold service standards
  • Providing hands on leadership during events and across restaurant and bar service periods
  • Overseeing service presentation, quality and guest engagement to deliver a consistent and elevated experience
  • Leading, motivating and supporting Food and Beverage Collaborators across daily operations
  • Monitoring stock levels and placing orders to support service continuity
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance the guest experience and drive revenue through thoughtful upselling and strong service delivery

About you:

  • Previous experience in food and beverage leadership, or readiness to step into your first supervisor role
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage service within a premium hotel, restaurant or events environment
  • Exposure to conferences, functions and event service, with confidence supporting live service delivery
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm, organised and solutions focused in a fast paced environment
  • A hands on leader with a genuine passion for food and beverage, team success and guest experience
  • You hold a current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate

Please note: We are looking for candidates who can offer long term employment stability in Australia. As such, this role is unlikely to be suitable for applicants holding short term or student visas.
