We are seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our Conferencing & Events Operations team in this part-time permanent opportunity, supporting live event service delivery across Crystalbrook Flynn and Crystalbrook Bailey.
This is a hands-on operational role where no two days look quite the same. From executive meetings and corporate conferences to private celebrations and premium functions, you will be at the heart of bringing each event to life - leading food and beverage service on the floor and ensuring every guest experience feels seamless, polished and memorable.
Reporting to the Conference & Events Operations Manager, you will guide the team through service, maintain exceptional standards and ensure each event is operationally prepared for success, from setup through to final service.
Visible, engaged and calm under pressure, you will anticipate guest needs, support your team in the moment and respond confidently to the fast-moving pace of live event operations. You will also play an important role in the broader success of the department, helping to drive smooth execution, strong service performance and memorable guest experiences.
This role is ideal for a hospitality leader who thrives on variety, enjoys leading from the front and takes genuine pride in delivering polished service at pace.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the smooth execution of conferencing and event operations across Crystalbrook Flynn and Crystalbrook Bailey
- Leading food and beverage service on shift, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and consistently high service standards
- Supervising, coaching and supporting Food & Beverage team members
- Anticipating guest needs and resolving service concerns confidently and professionally
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure seamless operational delivery from event setup through to pack down
- Supporting labour efficiency, operational flow and service performance
- Maintaining exceptional standards across presentation, compliance, workplace safety and guest experience

You thrive where no two shifts look the same, enjoy leading from the floor and understand what it takes to deliver polished guest experiences while keeping service running smoothly behind the scenes. You are organised, solutions-focused and know how to motivate a team while maintaining high standards under pressure.
You will bring:
- Previous experience in conference & events operations, banquets, premium food & beverage or hotel service environments
- Demonstrated supervisory experience, with the confidence to lead teams and maintain strong service standards in live operational settings
- A strong understanding of event execution, service flow and the pace of high-volume hospitality environments
- The ability to think on your feet, prioritise competing demands and remain calm under pressure
- A hands-on, collaborative leadership style with a genuine passion for guest experience
- Professional, warm and confident communication skills
- A practical understanindg of operational performance, service delivery and team coordination
- A current QLD RSA (RMLV highly regarded)
- Availability to work across a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Previous hotel conferencing and events experience will be highly regarded.
