The Opportunity:

Step into a key role within the vibrant kitchen at Crystalbrook Flynn, supporting our culinary team to deliver consistently high-quality food across every service.

As Demi Chef, you will be hands-on across preparation, cooking and presentation - from seasoning and marinating to roasting, grilling and pan-frying quality meats, seafood and produce. You will help keep service moving, ensure every dish delivers on flavour, temperature and visual appeal, and maintain the high standards our guests expect.

You will also contribute to ordering and preparation planning, monitor stock to minimise waste and spoilage, and help maintain a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen. This is an ideal next step for a motivated chef looking to strengthen their skills and continue progressing their culinary career.

The Talent:

You are a passionate and dependable chef who takes genuine pride in the food you create. You work confidently in a busy kitchen, remain composed when the pace lifts and understand that great service relies on preparation, consistency and collaboration.

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

• A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or an equivalent recognised qualification
• Demonstrated experience in a similarly fast-paced commercial kitchen
• Confident preparation, cooking and presentation skills across a variety of ingredients and techniques
• A strong eye for quality, flavour, temperature and visual presentation
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• A collaborative approach and the confidence to support junior members of the kitchen team
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new products, recipes and preparation techniques
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster aligned with the needs of the business, including weekends and public holidays
