Conference and Events Team Leader

THE ROLE:

Reporting to our Event Operations Manager, the role of a Food and Drink Team Leader will support the delivery of day-to-day operations in Conferencing and Events; including the delivery of established service standards, event presentation, and leading and training of our C&E Food and Beverage Attendants.

You will collaborate with our guests by:

• Ensuring all guests expectations are exceeded and actively encourage and collate guest feedback to ensure service benchmarks are being achieved
•  Supervising activities of C&E Food and Beverage Attendants to ensure the smooth running of each event
• Supporting the delivery of service standards for our conferences and events.
• Maintaining and improve the efficiency of the service and product operations for maximum profit while maintaining a high degree of guest satisfaction
• Maintaining an extensive knowledge food and beverage lists including all aspects of cocktails and new market trends

ABOUT YOU:

Providing an experience at a level beyond what guests expect, you have an ability to easily chat and welcome guests into our venue, can share your knowledge of Cairns, and run a smooth service - All without breaking a sweat!

Your many talents include:

• Relevant experience in working in conference and events operations
• Experience leading and training a small team preferred
• Ability to seamlessly work independently and in a team environment
• Demonstrated passion for the hospitality industry and speciality in high quality service. 
• Great attention to detail, being one step ahead of guests needs. 
• In-depth knowledge of sequence of service and product knowledge.  
• The passion to take on other ad-hoc duties as required 
• Ability to prioritise & work in fast-paced environment being able to keep high standards of service.  
• Friendly and confident communication skills.   
• QLD RSA essential 
• Available across various shifts including weekends, evenings and public holidays 
• Able to commit for a minimum of 6 months
