The Opportunity:
Flynn’s Italian is seeking an experienced Venue Manager to take ownership of the team, guest experience and ongoing success of this vibrant Cairns restaurant.
Bringing Italy to the tropics, Flynn’s Italian is known for fresh regional produce, playful Italian flavours and lively communal dining. You will set the tone on the floor, build a confident and capable team, and work closely with our culinary leaders to deliver an experience that feels warm, energetic and unmistakably Italian.
This is a hands-on role with genuine scope to influence the venue. Alongside leading daily service, you will oversee rostering, labour and cost control, team development, compliance and revenue performance. You will also collaborate with our hotel and marketing teams on events, activations and promotions that strengthen Flynn’s Italian within the local dining scene.
The Talent:
You are a confident and commercially minded hospitality leader who enjoys being present in the venue, connecting with guests and supporting your team to perform at their best.
You will bring:
- Proven management experience within a restaurant, bar, hotel or similarly busy hospitality venue
- A genuine passion for food, wine and memorable dining experiences
- Strong commercial capability, including budgeting, P&L analysis, rostering, labour management and cost control
- Experience recruiting, training and developing Food & Beverage teams
- A visible and supportive management style, with the confidence to guide service and respond calmly to challenges
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Sound knowledge of RSA, WHS, food safety and operational compliance requirements
- Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- A current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
- A current First Aid certificate, or willingness to obtain one
- A Certificate IV in Hospitality is desirable but not essential
