Senior Solution Architect

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to help shape and deliver the technology ecosystem that powers our business. This is a senior, strategic role responsible for designing scalable, secure and innovative technology solutions that support both operational excellence and elevated guest experiences.

You will work across our organisation — partnering with teams in operations, marketing, digital, finance and technology — to translate business ambition into smart, modern technology solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, modernising technology ecosystems and leading transformation across a growing hospitality business.

As our Senior Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Crystalbrook’s technology future. You will design and implement integrated technology solutions across our hospitality ecosystem while continually optimising and consolidating our technology stack to ensure efficiency, scalability and performance.

You will also help guide our broader technology strategy, working closely with the Group Enterprise Architect and leadership team to ensure our platforms, integrations and digital capabilities support our growth and evolving guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Solution Architecture

• Design and document scalable, secure, and fit-for-purpose end-to-end technology solutions
• Translate business and operational requirements into practical technical architecture
• Ensure new technology solutions integrate effectively with Crystalbrook’s existing ecosystem
• Evaluate vendor solutions and ensure alignment with architectural standards and technology strategy
• Apply modern architecture principles including microservices, event-driven design, containerisation and cloud-native solutions
• Present architectural concepts and solution designs clearly to both technical and business stakeholders

Technology Strategy & Leadership

• Partner with the Group Enterprise Architect to help shape Crystalbrook’s technology roadmap
• Identify opportunities to modernise, consolidate and optimise the organisation’s technology stack
• Monitor and improve system performance, security and operational efficiency
• Stay across emerging hospitality and digital technology trends and identify opportunities for innovation

Delivery & Implementation

• Act as the internal and external point of contact for solution implementation projects
• Work closely with internal, external and offshore engineering teams to deliver high-quality technology solutions
• Ensure business requirements are clearly translated into development outcomes
• Support modern delivery models including Agile and scaled Agile frameworks
• Maintain a strong focus on operational effectiveness and delivery excellence

Technology Governance & Vendor Management

• Lead technology-related RFP processes and vendor selection
• Build and guide cross-functional project teams to deliver technology initiatives
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure service delivery meets business expectations
• Oversee technology contracts, renewals and partner engagement
• Monitor technology stack performance, operational health and cost efficiency
• Ensure external development support and agency hours are effectively managed

Experience & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field

Experience

• 10+ years’ experience in solution architecture or enterprise technology design
• Experience delivering complex, distributed technology solutions
• Strong software engineering background with previous hands-on development experience
• Experience working with or within hospitality technology ecosystems preferred
• Experience leading or working closely with engineering teams and technology partners

Technology Exposure

Experience across a combination of the following platforms is beneficial:

• Hospitality systems (Opera PMS, Symphony POS, SynXis booking engine)
• Integration platforms such as OHIP
• Cloud platforms (OCI, AWS or similar)
• Modern development frameworks (Java, Python, Node.js, React Native)
• Enterprise CRM platforms such as Salesforce
