Crystalbrook Collection is seeking a diligent and detail-focused Payroll Officer to join our team in a full-time position, based in either Sydney or Cairns.
This is a true 360 payroll function, supporting the accurate and timely processing of payroll across our hotels and corporate teams. You will play an important role in ensuring our collaborators are paid correctly and on time, while supporting payroll compliance, reporting and continuous process improvement.
Working closely with People & Culture, Finance and operational leaders, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, accuracy and problem-solving, while still being part of a collaborative and people-focused environment.
What you will do
- Process end-to-end payroll across fortnightly and monthly pay cycles
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data
- Support award interpretation, allowances, deductions, leave and payroll adjustments
- Respond to payroll queries in a professional, timely and helpful manner
- Partner with People & Culture and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance
- Assist with reporting, reconciliations and payroll administration
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in payroll processes and systems
What we are looking for
- Previous payroll or finance processing experience, ideally within a medium to large organisation
- Experience processing fortnightly and/or monthly payroll
- Previous experience using ADP Payroll would be highly regarded, although not essential
- Strong attention to detail and a diligent, accurate working style
- Good IT skills and confidence working across payroll systems, excel and reporting tools
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage payroll queries with care and professionalism
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders
- Sound organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
