Category: Executive and General Management

At Crystalbrook Collection, we don’t just operate hotels — we create destinations that spark curiosity, connection and a sense of place. With a portfolio anchored in responsible luxury, we are redefining what modern hospitality looks like in Australia.

The Mandate:

You will own the performance of multiple hotels, leading General Managers and shared services to deliver measurable outcomes across revenue, profitability, guest experience and brand reputation.

You will be expected to:

  • Drive sustained top-line growth across rooms, F&B and events
  • Consistently achieve and exceed market share benchmarks
  • Strengthen Crystalbrook’s market position in Far North Queensland
  • Lead a disciplined, high-performing leadership cohort across the region

This is not a caretaking role — it requires decisive leadership, commercial edge and visible impact.

Scope of Influence:

Commercial & Operational Leadership

  • Translate strategy into execution across a multi-property environment
  • Optimise asset performance while maintaining premium positioning
  • Identify and unlock new revenue opportunities and operational efficiencies

Brand & Market Positioning

  • Act as the senior representative of Crystalbrook in the Cairns market
  • Build and leverage influential relationships across tourism, government and industry bodies (including TTNQ, TEQ and QTIC)
  • Ensure brand integrity and reputation are actively strengthened

Leadership & Culture

  • Lead, align and elevate a cohort of General Managers and emerging Hotel Managers
  • Build a culture of accountability, ownership and high performance
  • Champion a contemporary service culture aligned to responsible luxury

Growth & Future Opportunities

  • Contribute to development strategy and identify expansion opportunities within the region
  • Support openings, repositioning and strategic initiatives where required

Candidate Profile

We are targeting an established senior hotel leader, ideally with multi-property or cluster experience, who brings:

  • A track record of delivering strong commercial outcomes in premium or luxury environments
  • Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments (owners, investors, tourism bodies)
  • Exposure to openings, rebranding or portfolio transformation
  • A leadership style that is direct, contemporary and performance-oriented
  • The ability to operate with high autonomy while remaining aligned to group strategy

The Opportunity

Crystalbrook is a progressive, design-led hospitality group with a clear point of view on responsible luxury and modern guest experience.

This role offers:

  • Full portfolio accountability in a key Australian market
  • Direct access to executive leadership and strategic decision-making
  • The opportunity to shape market presence, performance and future growth

Why Crystalbrook

This is more than a portfolio role — it’s an opportunity to shape how a leading Australian hospitality group shows up in one of the country’s most important leisure destinations.

This is a role for a leader who expects to be measured by outcomes, not intent — and who is motivated by building something that is both commercially successful and distinctly differentiated.
