Our Employment & Workplace Relations team
Lead by Joe Murphy, our Sydney Employment & Workplace Relations team advises a diverse client base ranging from SMEs and not-for-profit organisations through to multinational corporations, listed entities and major employers.
We provide strategic and practical advice across all aspects of employment and industrial relations law, including:
- Employment contracts and workplace policies
- Industrial relations and enterprise bargaining
- Workplace investigations and disciplinary matters
- Restructures, redundancies and workplace change
- WHS matters
- Employment litigation and dispute resolution
- Executive employment issues and workplace risk management
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Associate Director to join our Sydney Employment & Workplace Relations team. The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise in employment law and a genuine interest in building trusted client relationships.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Minimum 5+ years' post-admission experience in employment and workplace relations law
- Strong technical expertise across employment, industrial relations and/or work health and safety matters
- Excellent drafting, advisory and communication skills
- A commercial and pragmatic approach to client service
- Strong relationship-building skills and a desire to contribute to business development
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers
Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys building trusted client relationships and contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team.
