ABOUT THE ROLE:

To provide gardening and basic outdoor maintenance services to eligible community clients, supporting them to remain safe, independent and living in their own homes.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have:

Essential:

  • Experience in gardening, grounds maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to safely operate gardening equipment including lawn mowers, whipper snippers and hedge trimmers.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and working with older people.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively within timeframes.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Appropriate literacy and numeracy including computer literacy.
  • Valid Victorian or NSW Driver’s License.

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated understanding of the needs of frail older people.
  • Experience in performance of general handyperson work.
  • Basic small motor or vehicle maintenance skills.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • External accreditations, e.g chainsaw licence, chemical users' certification.
