ABOUT THE ROLE:

To work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver rural Occupational Therapy healthcare that supports the functional and psychosocial aspects of daily living. Occupational Therapists assess physical, cognitive and psychosocial abilities to inform interventions aimed at improving functional capacity, for people living with acute or chronic health concerns or people living with disability. At Corryong Health, care provision may be delivered across the lifespan, though largely with adults in either the Acute, Residential Aged Care or outpatient environment.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy and registered as an Occupational Therapist with   Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). (Essential)
  • Demonstrated ability to apply evidence-based Occupational theory to practice, including assessments and interventions to support high-quality care in a rural health setting. (Essential)
  • High-level of interpersonal skills that enable effective communication and an ability to advocate for the client, liaise with carers/families and support goal directed care planning within a a multidisciplinary team. (Essential)
  • Demonstrated experience working with a diverse population group, including people with disability, gender diverse, First Nations, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) needs, to achieve positive health outcomes (Essential)
