The Role: Join Coregas as a Maintenance Fitter at our Yennora site. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining, fabricating, and installing equipment across multiple NSW branches. Reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager, you’ll ensure our production and distribution equipment operates safely and efficiently, supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term reliability.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations on plant and distribution equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Complete work orders, documentation, and administrative tasks accurately.
  • Support safe work practices and comply with HSE and quality standards.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate equipment dispatch as needed.
  • Participate in toolbox meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Travel to other Coregas branches for maintenance or project support when required.
  • Report hazards, incidents, and contribute to a safe, high-performing workplace.


About you:

  • Mechanical trade qualification (Certificate required)
  • 2+ years’ experience in maintenance roles, ideally in industrial gases or chemical industry
  • Strong skills in fitting, turning, and MIG/TIG/Arc welding
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machinery and control issues
  • Competent in reading Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and workshop drawings
  • Basic computer literacy (email, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Safety-focused, proactive, and committed to quality standards
  • Team player with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to travel to other branches as required
