We are seeking a dedicated Chemist to support our specialty gas production through safe and efficient processing, filling, and quality control. Your Day:

As a Chemist at Coregas, you will play a crucial role in our Spec Gas Operations. Reporting to the Manager Specialty Gases & Quality Control, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and filling specialty gas mixtures.
  • Preparing regulators and cylinders for Specialty Gas filling.
  • Analyse specialty gas products by using all different analytical instruments.
  • Receiving and dispatching Lhe ISO tanks and transferring LHe into liquid and gas storage
  • Supervising lab technicians in filling critical gas mixtures.
  • Conducting stock take activities and maintaining good housekeeping practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with all quality standards, the Code of GMP, and NATA guidelines.
  • Supporting internal and external auditing activities.

 

Who are you:

  • Holds a degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (or is within 12 months of completion).
  • Has a minimum of 2 years’ working exposure with a gas cylinder business.
  • Has at least 12 months’ experience in a laboratory environment.
  • Possesses strong computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Access, Navision, email) and excellent time management skills.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Preferably with a forklift license
  • Is disciplined, diligent, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
