The Role: We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Workshop Support Technician to join our Technical Services team in Yennora. This role is essential to ensuring our equipment and materials are prepared, tested, and delivered to the highest standards. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that supports operations across the country, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service.
Your Day:
- Assemble and test equipment for customer and internal installations (e.g. valves, regulators, telemetry).
- Procure, receive, sort, and store workshop materials.
- Conduct pressure testing, calibration, and oxygen cleaning of components.
- Package and ship parts across states, maintaining accurate records.
- Perform stocktakes and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Maintain compliance with HSE and quality standards, including documentation.
- Operate workshop tools and machinery (e.g. welding equipment, forklifts, vacuum pumps).
- Participate in toolbox meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Permanent Full Time Role, working Monday to Friday, with guaranteed 38 hours of work
Who are you:
- 3–5 years’ mechanical experience (trade or hands-on engineering background preferred).
- Familiarity with MIG/TIG/Oxy-acetylene welding (preferred but not essential).
- Forklift and EWP licences desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Computer literacy for data entry and record keeping.
- A customer-first mindset with a commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
