  • Provide specialist employment advice: FW Act & other legislation, NES, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and company policies.
  • Support HR Generalists and leaders with workplace relations coaching, high-quality documentation, and defensible processes.
  • Lead the risk assessment and management of escalated IR matters: consultation process, disputes, union interactions, and matters that may progress to the FWC, AHRC, State IRCs, courts and tribunals.
  • Build Workplace Relations consistency and upskilling across Nippon Sanso ANZ business units: coaching, training sessions and materials, templates, toolkits, guidance notes, standardisation of best practice approaches.
  • Identify emerging people risks and trends: recommend practical improvements to lift capability and reduce exposure, stay abreast of new and emerging regulatory and market developments, provide updates, advice and recommendations for workplace relations considerations.
  • Some travel betwen Yennora & Liverpool, plus national sites on occasion for matters requiring F2F meetings

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years’ experience in employment relations specialist advisory, case management, and industrial relations including enterprise bargaining.
  • Strong working knowledge of Fair Work Act, NES and Modern Awards
  • Demonstrated capability running complex ER casework with procedural fairness, policy alignment, risk-assessed approaches and strong, legally defensible documentation
  • Confidence advising leaders in operational, fast-paced environments, with a pragmatic approach to risk management and investment of resources.
  • Personal attributes of sound situational judgement, calm presence, high EI, resilience, discretion and the ability to balance legal risk with commercial outcomes.
