As a division of Coregas, Blacksmith Jacks is a specialist in the industrial gas and welding industry. We also stock and supply a large range of hand tools, power tools, generators, PPE, welding consumables and more. 

At Blacksmith Jacks, we help our customers achieve amazing things by delivering products, expertise and personal service second to none. 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of 15 employees
  • Drive branch profitability, sales growth, and EBIT performance
  • Manage inventory, stock control, and warehouse operations
  • Ensure exceptional customer service across all channels
  • Oversee branch budgeting, costs, and operational efficiencies
  • Support major contract negotiations and customer growth opportunities
  • Coordinate stocktakes and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Develop and enhance branch merchandising, promotions, and marketing initiatives
  • Maintain equipment, fleet, and preventative maintenance programs
  • Foster a positive, engaged, and high-performing team culture

Health, Safety & Environment

  • Champion a strong safety-first culture
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
  • Lead safety initiatives, incident investigations, and corrective actions
  • Support employee training, rehabilitation, and return-to-work programs
  • Drive continuous improvement across workplace safety and environmental practices

What You'll Bring

  • Proven leadership experience in branch, operations, warehouse, logistics, industrial, or distribution environments
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and profitability
  • Excellent people leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities
  • Inventory, purchasing, and operational management experience
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving capability
  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics, HR, or a related discipline
  • Experience within industrial, manufacturing, welding, gases, or related sectors
