About the Role
As a Technical Sales Representative, you’ll be the face of our business, managing and expanding a portfolio of new and existing accounts. You’ll work closely with customers on-site, identifying opportunities, solving problems, and delivering tailored solutions that drive value.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular on-site customer visits in line with the agreed call plan
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to trading margin performance
- Identify and develop growth opportunities through strategic planning
- Maintain optimal pricing levels to maximise profitability
- Monitor product sales performance and identify areas for improvement
- Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and timely delivery
- Respond to customer enquiries and resolve complaints effectively
- Support debtor management activities in collaboration with Accounts Receivable
- Provide product demonstrations and promote new offerings
- Monitor competitor activity and provide insights to management
- Maintain accurate customer records, call plans, and reporting
- Submit weekly call reports and ensure activity targets are met
About You
- Proven experience in sales and account management, ideally in Welding industrial, Metal Fabrication, manufacturing, or construction sectors
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Results-driven with a proactive approach to business development
- Ability to analyse sales data and identify opportunities for growth
- Strong organisational and reporting skills
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the territory
