The Role: Are you ready to be part of a team that powers industries and communities across New Zealand? Coregas is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Distribution Hand to support our operations in Auckland, Wiri.
As a Distribution Hand, you’ll support daily warehouse operations and occasionally deliver gas cylinders to customer sites. You’ll be responsible for accurate order picking, inventory control, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role requires strong organisational skills, a proactive attitude, and a customer-first mindset.
Your Day:
- Batch, palletise, and load orders for delivery, ensuring all consignments are prepared accurately and safely.
- Represent the Coregas brand with professionalism and courtesy in every customer interaction, both onsite and during occasional deliveries.
- Scan, sort, and inspect cylinders for faults, labels, and test dates. Maintain barcode accuracy and assist with cylinder maintenance as needed.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely. Conduct pre-trip checks, complete vehicle condition reports, and reconcile truck trips at the end of each day.
- Accurately identify cylinder types and complete all required paperwork for deliveries and warehouse processes.
- Keep the warehouse and stock yard clean, organised, and safe. Participate in stocktakes and ensure cylinder storage meets safety standards.
- Work times: 8:00am to 5:00pm
About You:
- You hold a Forklift License and a full NZ Drivers License
- You have 12 months experience in logistics or distribution
- Having a Class 2 license (or higher) and Dangerous Goods (DG) endorsement would be advantageous
- You’re detail-oriented, reliable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- You communicate clearly and build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
- You’re committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
